Meet Bunny & Biscuit.

The two new amazing members of our not so tiny anymore, family.



We found these two sweet little things at a shelter in Indiana and fell in love at first sight. Just look at those faces! They are seven year old cockapoo's and they are wonderful. They are brother and sister, just like our Colson and Cayleigh! And, Cayleigh's nickname is Bunny! What a perfect match. They are incredibly mild mannered, they listen like we've had them their whole lives. They are soft and quiet and just adorable. They love the kids. Cayleigh cracks up every time Bunny even looks at her. Biscuit is Colson's doggie and Bunny is Bunny's! I'm fairly certain the dogs know this as well. Biscuit is more mild mannered and chills out just like Colson while Bunny is a little more crazy yet still sweet like our little lunatic Cayleigh.

They are my constant shadow, and they are so incredibly bonded they practically move like one dog when they are on a leashed walk. I'm thrilled to be able to offer these two sweetie's their new forever home. We look foward to lots of laughter and love with them. We couldn't be happier with these dogs, and we are so grateful they are such a wonderful fit for our home.

Spontaneous Love

Spontaneous Love (orig. published 2.20.09) You know your child loves you when you receive that first spontaneous sign of love. That first random hug, or that first kiss without asking. Last night, at bedtime, Colson was in my arms and he put his face in my face and stared at me and then started giving me Eskimo kisses and then stared at me some more. Then he politely demanded about 40 “real” kisses from me before I could lay him down, but that’s ok. I had just received my first “unasked” for kisses from my baby. Colson is growing up so fast. Tomorrow he will be 21 months old. He is still 21 pounds. And he is still wearing 9 month clothes. But, mentally, he’s practically a 3 year old (according to his therapists). He knows the letters A, B, D, E, I, M, N, O, P, T, and Y when you show him them on his blocks. He knows how to record his favorite shows, and how to delete them when he’s done.
